KATE SPADE SEIZE THE DAY
The Choose Your Look Smartwatch app magically makes the dial of your watch display match the outfite you have on. This flagship app was specifically designed for the Kate Spade Scallop touchscreen watch, which was nominated for Engadget’s Best CES 2018 People’s Choice Award.
DESIGN PROCESS
This is the first project I assumed in my position at Fossil Group. I built upon the existing app, contributing optimizations to the experience as well as implementing the signature Kate Spade style across expansions in the interface. The app syncs with the Kate Spade New York hybrid smartwatch or tracker to provide bursts of motivation, celebrations with every success and the tools to stay stylishly organized.
Paired with the device, it tracks the users steps, sleep, and personal goals.
It also connects with other apps and sends daily activity data to the user’s favorite health platforms (Apple HealthKit). The user can program their device to ring phone, control music, take a photo, or track a goal from their wrist.
Setting the Kate Spade App apart from the rest of the Fossil Group portfolio of apps is the ability to set the hybrid smartwatch to count down to a celebration by tracking the time leading up to birthdays, parties, holidays and more.
User flows for new functionality that enhances the experience of the countdown feature; allowing the user to end a countdown and view and interact with previous countdowns.
